Founded in 1983, the U.S. Investing Championship is a real-capital international competition whose past participants include legendary traders such as Paul Tudor Jones, Mark Minervini, and David Ryan. Competing over an entire year against more than 450 participants from around the world, J Law not only claimed the championship in the USD 1 million category, but also achieved an extraordinary annual return of 353.9%, setting the highest record in the competition’s history. He is the first Chinese trader to become a record-breaking champion in the million-dollar real-capital division.

The U.S. Investing Championship is a well-established American competition that requires all participants to trade with real capital. Each competitor must designate a verified brokerage account and submit detailed account statements throughout the year-long contest. Final results are independently audited by Norman Zadeh, former professor of mathematics at Stanford University.
The division for accounts exceeding USD 1 million is known as the Money Manager Verified Ratings (MMVR) category. In 2024, J Law competed in this division and claimed first place, achieving an exceptional annual return of 353.9%. This performance set a new all-time record in the competition’s history since its founding in 1983, and marked J Law as the first Chinese trader to become a record-breaking champion in the million-dollar, real-capital division of the USIC.
